An active real estate investor since 2001 and Realtor® since 2010, Ken founded Versant Realty with the vision of creating a better value proposition for DC metro area home sellers and buyers. Versant does this by combining industry leading marketing techniques, savvy negotiation skills, data-driven decision making, and a commitment to world class service with competitive fees that account for the realities of today’s Internet-empowered consumers and the high home prices for the DC metro area.
Prior to launching his real estate career, Ken was a senior director for the the Advisory Board Company and led large data analytics and product development and marketing teams serving the hospital industry.
Ken currently resides in Vienna, Virginia with his wife and six children. He is also an active member of the Tyson’s Chamber of Commerce and his church community. He moved to the DC metro area from Illinois in 1997 where he earned a master’s degree from the University of Chicago and bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In his spare time…he dreams of having spare time.
A new addition Versant Realty, Michelle recently completed her real estate training to pursue her dream career as a Realtor®.
Before pursuing a career in real estate, Michelle spent 10 years as a top salesperson in the Electronic Circuit Board Components Industry. She loved the challenges and the daily customer interaction that accompanied her job. In 2005 after the birth of her first son she made the decision to become a stay at home mom and focus on her family. Her second son was born in 2007 and her decision to remain at home was reinforced.
For the past 4 years, in addition to being involved in her boys school on a volunteer basis, Michelle was a Fairfax County Substitute Teacher. She enjoyed being in the school on a daily basis, however knew that it was time to pursue the career that has always been in the back of her mind and she opted to move forward with her real estate training.
Michelle currently resides in Vienna, Virginia with her husband and 2 boys. Originally from Pittsburgh she spent 15 years in Florida and has been in Vienna for the past 8 years. She loves living in Norther Virginia and exposing her children to all of the opportunities that the DC area has to offer. She remains a very active member on the PTA for her boys school and leads the fundraising efforts for the school. She is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. Currently her spare time is devoted to the family puppy but when she can fit it in she loves outdoor activities followed by curling up with a good book.
